Thanks to Dennis Leary’s No Cure for Cancer for the title to this post (and for giving me a name for my category about food). I was just thinking about what I miss most about Louisiana. Being close to family, friends, yadda yadda. What I really miss are the burgers. Not that I eat a lot of red meat, especially after my physician threatened to put me on cholesterol meds if my triglycerides didn’t come down. I’ve yet to find a great burger place in DC. And don’t get me started on Five Guys. It amazes me that, among the five of them, they can’t figure out how to cook a fucking order of fries. It’s really not that hard, gents. No, there’s no place like local fave Lakeview Harbor, and it’s really disappointing that I can’t find a Whataburger or a Krystal within 100 miles of here. *Sigh*.
