		<description>Brian, you&#039;re certainly entitled to your opinion of my post as it&#039;s written, but I&#039;m afraid you are missing the point I was attempting to make! I don&#039;t in any way view Merritt&#039;s songs as misogynist or pseudo-feminist. I do (like you, if I&#039;m reading you right) find it interesting that he engages with a lot of misogynist and pseudo-feminist concepts (cat-fighting; female empowerment through sexual exploitation) and then transforms them into *commentary on* these concepts through his sarcasm and cynicism. I&#039;m sorry if my post was confusing; I was attempting to bring in some concepts I had written on heavily earlier (pseduo-feminist and girl-fight anthems) and compare them with the Magnetic Fields&#039; (markedly different!) approach to these genres.</description>
