DHS at it again…

I’d like to say I’m shocked at the ever-expanding plans of DHS to illegally collect information about American travelers, but I’m past the point of being surprised at news like this. The long and the short of TSA’s Secure Flight Plan is that all travelers on flights both international and domestic will require prior permission from the Ministry of Love^Department of Homeland Security before traveling. A public hearing was held this past Thursday, but the TSA is taking comments from the public on this proposal until October 22. Surf on over to the Department of Transportation’s Docket Management System, and search for docket number 28572. Please keep your comments rational, concise, and to the point.
TSA’s questionable collection of travelever information, about which I wrote last night, is apparently front page news in the print edition of the Wa-Po today.
